Diana Krall is a Canadian jazz pianist and singer. She is known for her contralto vocals.

She is the daughter of Adella and Jim Krall. Diana is married to British singer and songwriter Elvis Costello, with whom she has two children.

Diana’s paternal grandfather was Stephen Krall (the son of Michael Kral/Krall and Mária “Mary” Špak/Spaak). Stephen was born in British Columbia, to parents from Henclová, Szepes County, Kingdom of Hungary, now Slovakia.

Diana’s paternal grandmother was Jean Marsh (the daughter of John Charles Marsh and Elizabeth Patterson). Jean was born in British Columbia. John was born in Manchester, England, the son of Joseph Marsh and Sarah Ann Lomas. Elizabeth was born in Nova Scotia, to Scottish parents, John Patterson and Elizabeth Murdoch.

Diana’s maternal grandfather was Wojciech Otto “Albert” Wende (the son of Gustafe Wende and Louise Riesenweber). Wojciech was born in Białe Błoto, Poland, to an ethnic German family.

Diana’s maternal grandmother was Olga Jabs/Yabs (the daughter of Eduard Paul Jabs/Yabs and Pauline Wollschlager). Olga was born in Łęk-Osiek, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland, and was an ethnic German.
